Bhaktapur, March 29: Bodies of two newborns have been recovered in different areas in Bhaktapur.
Stray dogs were devouring upon the body of a newborn when it was discovered at a gully at Balkot at the border of Anantalingeshwor Municipality ward no-4 and 5 today morning, police said.
Sub Inspector Yubraj Sharma said that limbs of the child had bite wounds and the body might have been thrown at around 4 am today.
The body has been sent to Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj for investigation, he added.
Likewise, the body of another newborn was found in decomposed state at Byasi in Bhaktapur Municipality on Monday, inspector Dinesh Bhandari said.
Police said preliminary investigation shows that both the infants were born out of illegitimate relationship and thrown after murdering them in an attempt to cover up the incidents. RSS
