Chinese ambassador congratulates Deuba

Kathmandu, March 11: Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai called on newly elected Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba at latter’s residence in Budhanilkantha in the Capital today and congratulated him for being elected as NC new President.

Chuntai also wished Deuba a successful term as NC president on behalf of the Communist Party of China and the Government of China.

He also expressed his belief that relations between China and Nepal will be strengthened further during the tenure of Deuba as NC President, said chairman of the Press Union Nepal, Badri Sigdel.

In reply, saying that Nepal always stands as good friend of China and he has given importance to the ties between Nepal and China, Deuba said that he would do his best in consolidating Nepal-China relations further in the days to come.

He also expressed hope that China would help in the development of Nepal.

Likewise, Chuntai expressed hope that the issues of West Seti Hydropower Project and the construction of Humla Simikot Hilsa Road would be prioritised during the upcoming visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to China. RSS
