Five brought under control after five hours

Nepalgunj, March 19: A fire that broke out at 4:00 this morning in a cotton factory at Basantapur in Nepalgunj Municipality-7 was brought under control a short while ago.

Police Inspector Ram Bahadur Chand said that personnel of Nepal Police and Nepal Army, and the fire fighters contained the fire from their relentless efforts for five hours.

Police assumed that the fire could have occurred after the short circuit in the factory.

Proprietor of the factory Pankaj Kumar Baishya claimed that property worth Rs 12 million was damaged in the fire.

No human casualty was reported in the incident. RSS
