Panchthar, March 10: State Minister for Local Development Kunti Shahi has said that the election of the local bodies would be held soon.
While inaugurating the second district convention of the National Democratic Women's Association here today, State Minister Shahi added that the government was doing homework for the purpose.
She further said that the local bodies' elections were essential to stop the growing corruption due to lack of elected representatives.
State Minister Shahi stressed the need of capable women leadership for the social and economic development in the nation.
She urged all political parties to search for national identity rather than party and individual identity. RSS
