'Lipulek, Mansarobar issues be raised during PM's China visit;'

Kathmandu, March 16: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been urged to hold the discussions about Nepali territory Lipulek and Kailash Mansarobar with the Chinese side during his weeklong visit to the northern neighbour from March 20.

At an interaction programme on Prime Minister's upcoming China visit  and achievements' organised by Samyukta Janabadi Youth Morcha here Wednesday, foreign affairs expert Hiranyalal Shrestha called on the Prime Minister to forge a fuel trade deal with China during the visit. Besides, the issues of Lipulek must be raised.


Political analyst Prof Dr Surendra KC said China has not yet opened the Tatopani point due to political immaturity of Nepal. Nepal should come with effective diplomacy for national resilience.

Former Ambassador and foreign affairs expert Dr Bishnuhari Nepal stressed that there should a new friendship treaty between Nepal and China.

Senior journalist Prem Kaidi  said not only Lipulek, but also the issues of Kailash Mansarobar be taken for discussions with the Chinese side.

Nepal Intellectual Forum Chair Dr KB Rokaya, sociologist Lalan Chaudhary and Nepal Revolutionary Communist Party Chair KB Bhattarai stressed that Lipulek should be the first agenda of the PM's visit.  RSS
