PM's China visit will strengthen relation: Minister Pandey

Kathmandu, March 16: Minister for Industry, Som Prasad Pandey, has said that the upcoming China visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli would strengthen relations between the two countries.

At a programme organised by Reporters Club here today, Minister Pandey expressed the view that it would not be appropriate to expect more from Prime Minister's visit as PM's visit is customary.

He further said that PM Oli's China visit would further strengthen relations between Nepal and China as well as discussion over various issues including trade and transport, energy and fuel would be held.

The Industry Minister said deal regarding petroleum exploration in Nepal would be signed during PM's China visit as China has already expressed commitment for the support in his regard.

Stating that there would be no development in the country until economic prosperity, Minister Pandey said that decision has already been made for the establishment of industrial cooridor at different places in the country including Damak of Jhapa, Mayurdhap of Hetauda, Motipur of Rupandehi, Naubasta of Banke, among others.

He said that preparation was underway for the operation of industries on around 52 ropanis of land in Bhairahawa and added that 13 special economic zones would be built for exporting productions in foreign countries until the country gets economic prosperity. RSS
