Preparations for SAARC Council of Ministers over; Council to begin on Monday

Kathmandu, March 13: Preparations for the 37th SAARC Council of Ministers has been over. The Council is beginning in Pokhara on Monday.
The Council of Ministers comprises of the Ministers of Foreign /External Affairs of the member states.

A meeting of the programme committee under the Council will be held on Monday and Tuesday. The meeting to be attended by the Joint Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign /External Affairs of the member states would review the SAARC activities, past decision and implementations.

The report prepared by the two-day meeting will be presented before the Standing Committee.

The Standing Committee meeting will be attended by Foreign Secretaries on March 16, and it would be followed by the meeting of the Minister of Foreign /External Affairs of the member states next day.

Meanwhile, the RSS correspondent from Pokhara reported that all representatives from the member states have reached in Pokhara.

All preparations for the Council including the security arrangement has been complete, added the reporter, quoting regional administrator Shankar Prasad Koirala. RSS
