Three involved in murder of guard made public

Gaighat (Udayapur), March 16: Police on Tuesday made public three convicts involved in the murder of a guard of Sunrise Bank at Jaljale of Udayapur district some 13 months ago.

The UIdayapur District Police Office made them public after completing investigation into the murder of Sunrise Bank's security guard Khem Bahadur Baniya.

The murder convicts made public are Tika Prasad Acharya, 39, of Udayapur Triyuga municipality-11, Jaljale, Prem Dorje Sherpa, 34, known to be Bablu and Arbind Bogati, 37, of ward no 10 of Triyuga.

Udayapur Police Chief Nar Bahadur KC made them public at a press conference organized on the premises of the Udayapur Police office.

Police said that the three had killed on-duty guard of Sunrise Bank Baniya with sharp-edged weapon at night in order to seize Rs 10 million deposited in the bank.

Police further shared that the convicts have been at large though their efforts to break the ATM safe after the murder of guard was not materialized. RSS
