Kathmandu, March 17: National Youth Council Vice-Chair Madhav Dhungel said that ground works are underway to bring out a new plan of action to implement youth policy in a way to address the aspirations of entire youth circle.
At a programme organized here on Wednesday by Inter-Party Youth Alliance, he pledged that the Council would take ahead the youth-focused programme with support from the stakeholders which were actively engaged in framing the national youth policy.
Youth Association Nepal Vice-Chair Dilu Pant suggested the Council to come up with programmes in favour of youths involved in politics to make the country prospered and social works.
Nepal Tarun Dal acting President Radha Ghale said the youth policy would only be meaningful when its implementation is effective towards bringing youth circle to the mainstream of the state.
Inter-Party Youth Alliance member RC Sharma and Kamalesh Yadav suggested the Council to ensure inclusive and balanced representation in its structure.
The provision is it that the Council will have 35 members including 12 women. The council now has the representation of 10 youth organizations close to political parties of Nepal including Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN (Maoist) and Madhes-centric parties. RSS
