CPN (Maoist Center)'s assistance to Sunsari flood victims

Inaruwa, July 27:  The CPN (Maoist Center) has provided the flood victims of Sunsari with foodstuffs.

The party Tuesday reached out to 130 families of Ghuski affected by the recent flooding in the district with beaten rice, salt and onion.

Fifty-five Dalit and 80 Muslims families of Ghuski-2 locating on Nepal-India border were benefitted from the assistance, according to party Ghuski Chair Dil Mahammed.    

Likewise, 70 families of Babiya wards no. 6 and 7 are in the state of displacement, according to VDC Secretary Netra Neupane.  The Muslim, Mehata, Khatwe and Musahar community have been affected the most by the recent incident of water-induced disasters in the village.

The victims have called on the district-based government bodies and the District Natural Disaster Rescue Committee for help. Likewise, road connecting Narsigh ward no 7 with Basantapur- 7 has been swept away by the flooded Sunsari River. Schools and a local police beat have been submerged, said a local Rameshwor Mehata. RSS
