Bhaktapur, July 31: Re-monitoring and the documentation of the details of the survivors of April 25 earthquake have been suspended in the area of the Bhaktapur Municipality. The work came to a halt after the details of the quake survivors provided to the Municipality was not found different to that collected by the Municipality.
The Municipality has returned the name-list of the quake victims, saying that many quake survivors have been left out.
Director of the District Details Collection Management Office, Bhaktapur Dharma Ratna Bajracharya said that the re-monitoring and documentation of the details of the quake survivors has halted for the time being. The Municipality is itself collecting the details of the quake survivors after issuing a notice, saying that some quake survivors have been left out.
The documentation, however, of the details of the quake victims is going on in other five municipalities in Bhaktapur district.
As part of the programme to document details of the quake victims for the reconstruction works, 121 engineers and supervisors from the Department of Statistics, 121 social mobilizers and 12 senior engineers have been deployed in Bhaktapur, Bajracharya said. They have also undergone training related to the subject, he added. RSS
