Parsa, July 31: The police have arrested a husband in accusation of murdering his wife.
Parama Mandal, and mother-in-law, Gadani Devi Mandal, were arrested on suspicion of murdering Ramawati Devi of Gadiyani locality in Bhediyahi – 9 of Parsa.
The police exhumed the body of 20-year-old Ramawati Devi from a field nearby her house on Friday evening, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Hobendra Bogati, of District Police Office, Parsa.
The police were tipped off on the murder and subsequent flight of the husband and in-laws. The police arrested the husband and mother-in-law from Senbari village across the border in India with the help of locals, DSP Bogati said.
Ramawati Devi's body has been sent to the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital for a post-mortem examination. A preliminary investigation suggests that the victim could have been fed poison. RSS
