Tanahun, July 27: A pillion rider was killed in a road mishap at Shukla Gandaki Municipality-1 in Tanahun district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Mishra, 35, of Dhusare-7 in Lamjung district. He died on the spot in the incident.
The accident took place when a truck (Na 5 Kha 8999) hit the motorcycle (Ga 7 Pa 3879) heading towards Pokhara from Damauli, said police.
Similarly, motorcyclist Saroj Mishra, 34, of Risti-4 in Tanahun district sustained injury in the incident. Ge has been sent to Pokhara for treatment.
Police have arrested the truck driver and impounded the vehicle. RSS
