RPP agrees in principle to merge with RPP-N

Kathmandu, July 27: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has agreed in principle to merge with Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)- Nepal.

Organizing a press conference here today, RPP Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana shared that the meeting of RPP central executive committee decided to this effect.

RPP Chair Rana further said that the Party made the decision to unify with the RPP-N to safeguard nationality, democracy, liberalism and Hindu nation-state.

He added that together with the RPP and RPP-N unification, a bigger political force will be constituted to reckon with.

Also speaking in the conference, RPP's outgoing Chairman and former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand said that the unification was in a bid to emerge as a nationalistic force in the domestic polity." We believe that the nationalist forces should be united for greater good of the country," he added.

Similarly, senior leader of RPP Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani spoke of the need for the unity among the nationalistic forces to navigate the political and social development trend in the country to the right track.

He argued, "Everyone in the country is want of nationalistic democratic force."

On the occasion, RPP outgoing chairman Chand welcomed Rana as the new RPP Chair and extended best wishes for assuming the supreme position of the party. RSS
