Kathmandu, July 31: The CPN (UML) has condemned the Rasuwa incident in which the party cadres were beaten up while attending the discussion on restructuring the local level.
The party secretary and chief at the Publicity Department Yogesh Bhattarai today issued a press statement urging the government to take action against those involved in the incident and ensure medical treatment of the injured.
The statement reads that some hooligans entered the discussion hall and attacked the cadres with sharp weapons and iron rods.
In the incident, CPN (UML) alternate central committee member Madhav Aryal, Local Development Officer Rajendra Dev Pandey, Nepali Congress leader Janak Jivan Upadhyay, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Madhav Lamichhane among 12 others were injured. RSS
