Khum Bahadur Khadka ahead in NC CWC vote counting

Kathmandu, March 9: The vote counting of the election for the 25 Nepali Congress central working committee (CWC) seats under open category held in its 13th National Convention has been postponed until tomorrow morning with the lead of Khum Bahadur Khadka in the race.

Of the 150 votes counted, leader Khadka has secured 94 votes while Prakash Man Singh is in the second position with 90 votes, member of the NC's Election Committee Jagannath Shrestha said.

Shrestha said that Dr Shekhar Koirala has got 89 votes and Bimalendra Nidhi 88 while Pradip Giri, Pradip Poudel and Mahesh Acharya have secured equal 87 votes.

Similarly, Bal Krishna Khanda has obtained 86, Kul Bahadur Khadka 85, Purna Bahadur Khadka 84, Ramesh Lekhak 79, Shankar Bhandari 78 and Sujata Koirala has also got 76 votes.

Likewise, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Dr Minendra Rijal, Gopalman Shrestha, Dr Narayan Khadka, Dr Ram Sharan Mahat, Bishwa Prakash Sharma, Bal Bahadur KC, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, NP Saud, Chandra Bhandari, Dhanraj Gurung and Udaya Shumsher Rana are also in the list of top 25 vote receiving leaders.

Member Shrestha said that the vote counting of the open category postponed today would begin on Thursday morning and the vote counting of other categories would begin afterwards. RSS
