Khum Bahadur leads in vote for open central member

Kathmandu, March 10: Khum Bahadur Khadka leads the ongoing vote count for the election of the central member of the Nepali Congress under the open category. Out of the 353 votes counted so far, Khadka has got 214 votes followed by Prakash Man Singh with 213 votes.

The vote count has been put off till next day, said the election committee.

Others security high number of voters are- Dr Sekhar Koirala (205), Pradip Poudel (201) Bal Krishna Khand (200), Bimalendra Nidhi (199), Mahesh Acharya (190) Kul Bahadur Gurung (187), Purna Bahadur Khadka (186), Ramesh Lekhak (186) Bishwo Prakas Sharma (181), Dr Ram Sharan Mahat (178), Dhanaraj Gurung (177), Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat (177), Sujata Koirala (177), Shankar Bhandari (175), Gopal Man Shresth (171), Bal Bahadur KC (170), Dr Minendra Rijal (168), Chandra Bhandari (162), Dr Narayan Khadka (160), Gyanendra Karki (159), Badri Pande (158), NP Saud (156).

Only 25 are elected for central members under the open category, while 90 have vied for this. RSS
