Phalebas (Parbat), Mrach 11: Deputy Prime Minister Chitra Bahadur KC has said a national unity government would be formed under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli himself.
Inaugurating the Eighth District Council of Parbat District here today, DPM KC said that the Nepali Congress too would join the incumbent government to make it a government of national unity.
Also the Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, KC said that the national unity government did not become possible in the past due to the Nepali Congress' weakness, adding that discussions were on regarding the NC's participation in the government. He further said the rumours that the government will topple following the conclusion of the NC's general convention were baseless.
DPM KC asserted that there was no need for a change of government at the moment and the present government itself was capable enough to take the country forward.
He reiterated his previous views that federalism would be a burden for Nepal and called on the political parties to rather concentrate on providing succour to the earthquake affected people than get entangled in the debate over federalism. RSS
