Parliament regulations drafting body holds meeting

Kathmandu, March 16: The Legislature-Parliament Regulations Drafting Committee has begun discussions on the regulations drafted by a sub-committee constituted by it for that purpose.


In the Committee meeting today, the lawmakers on the committee stressed on holding clause-wise discussions on the draft of the regulation and soliciting the suggestions from experts.

The committee is meeting when the effectiveness of the Committee on Parliamentary Special Hearings is being debated hence the importance of this meeting.

Committee president Radheshyam Adhikari urged the active participation of the all the committee members since uninterrupted discussions are to be held on the revised draft of the regulations for three days.

The committee had formed an 11-member sub-committee under the coordination of committee member Ram Narayan Bidari for revising the regulations. The committee will next meet at 11 am tomorrow. RSS
