SC bringing zero paper policy

Kathmandu, March 16: The Supreme Court has been preparing a zero paper policy which will be implemented fully in all courts in 10 years.

A full meeting of all justices at SC, including Chief Justice Kalyan Shretha, adopted the policy so that all courts across the country would be paperless within a coming decade.

Director at the Department of Information Technology, Krishna Prasad Poudel, said the policy was aimed at making the justice delivery quick and effective.

With the implementation of the policy, the service seekers will submit the necessary documents via internet, and all justices will scan the documents on computer.

Currently, SMS facility is provided to the service seekers with the information as dates of next hearing, of general bail, of registration, and brief information about the cases and writs. RSS
