5th Nepal-International Trade Fair

Kathmandu, March 16: The 5th Nepal-International Trade Fair is to kick start on Thursday in the capital city. It is jointly be organised by Nepal government and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI).

At a press meet Wednesday, the organisers said that a total of 350 stalls with various goods would be showcased from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and China.It is said that the products of handicraft, tourism, leather would be kept in the fair to be held till 21 March.

Executive Director of Trade and Exports Promotion Centre, Ishwori Prasad Ghimire, said that the fair is expected to promote and increase the trade volume of Nepali goods at a time when the country’s economy has suffered from the blockade imposed by India and April 25 ‘Gorkha Earthquake’.

On the occasion, senior vice-president of FNCCI Bhawani Rana said that country’s development was not possible sans industrial development and infrastructure development. RSS
