UDMF leaders off to New Delhi to attend programme

Kathmandu, March 13: Leaders of United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF) today left here for New Delhi to attend a programme scheduled to be held there tomorrow. They are taking part in a seminar to be organised by the Nepal-India Women Friendship Association.

Some leaders from the Nepali Congress, CPN (UML) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party have already set out for New Delhi to participate in the seminar, according to information provided by Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) leader Sarbendranath Shukla to the RSS. TMLP is one of the allies of UDMF.

There is a probability that during their stay in New Delhi, UDMF leaders could have a special meeting with the Indian high-ranking officials, he said, adding that efforts are on for arranging a meeting.  

TMLP Chair Mahantha Thakur, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav and TMLP Co Chair Hridayesh Tripathi are among leaders who left for New Delhi today. RSS
