Police not meeting people's expectations: IGP Aryal

Banepa, July 29: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Upendra Kant Aryal, today said the police force has not been able to meet the expectations of the people when providing service.

Inaugurating the residence of the district's police chief at Dhulikhel amidst a ceremony organized by District Police Office (DPO), Kavre, IGP Aryal stressed on the necessity of removing the suspicion between the civilians and police and filling up the gap.

Insisting on the need for the police to collaborate with the public, the police chief spoke of an increment in criminal mindset with the development of transportation, media and technology.

The residence for Superintendent of Police (SP) with four rooms was built at a cost of Rs 2.9 million donated by Banepa's local entrepreneur, Ram Bhakta Pradhan. RSS
