PAC's attention drawn over fuel pricing

Kathmandu, March 11: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) under the Legislature-Parliament today expressed concern towards the government decision for allowing the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) and Birat Petroleum Pvt Ltd (BPPL) to sell petroleum products at differing rates in the market.

Committee Secretary Som Bahadur Thapa wrote to the Ministry of Supply seeking details with clarification on the base of the decision, worth and purpose within the next three days.

The Committee has drawn the attention of the Supply Ministry towards the difficulties the consumers would face when fixing different rates and the negative impact on socio-economic scenario. RSS
